Niagara Falls, New York State - Cave of the Winds

The Cave of the Winds was a cave behind Bridal Veil Falls that was completely destroyed in a massive rockfall in the 1950s. Though the cave no longer exists, the name remains and the area near the cave has become a popular tourist attraction. Visitors can take an elevator on Goat Island to go down to the base of the Niagara Falls, and then walk along the redwood deck to the front of Bridal Veil Falls. From here, you can experience the water crashing down the falls and the gush of strong winds.
