New York City - Long Island Railroad to New York City

The Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) is a commuter train system stretching between Montauk on the eastern tip of Long Island and New York City in the west. The train system comprises of 11 routes totaling more than 300 miles (483 km) and 124 stations. Most of the length of the tracks and stations are in Long Island, while a smaller section is in New York City. Terminals in New York City include Penn Station in Midtown Manhattan, Atlantic Terminal in Downtown Brooklyn, and Jamaica Station in Queens.
