Pennsylvania (Penn) Station, situated underneath Madison Square Garden in Midtown Manhattan, is the main inter-city train station in New York City. It is Amtrak's railway hub for the Northeastern Corridor linking New York City with Boston, Philadelphia, Washington, D.C., and cities in between. Commuter trains include the New Jersey Transit and Port Authority Trans-Hudson linking New Jersey, and the Long Island Rail Road (LIRR) linking Long Island. Several New York City Subway lines connect Penn Station.
