New York City - A Diversity of People and Culture

New York City is home to 8.4 million people, and throughout its history has been a major entry point for immigrants entering the United States. Many settled in New York City, forming ethnic enclaves or neighborhoods to remain close to the culture. Today the city is very ethnically diverse representing cultures from various corners of the world. Ethnicity include the Irish, Italians, Germans, Russians, Polish, Jews, Africans, Hispanics, Caribbeans, Indians, Chinese, Koreans, and Filipinos to name a few.
