The Snug Harbor Cultural Center is an 83-acre (34 ha) site in Richmond Terrace, located on the North Shore of Staten Island in New York City. Opened in 1833, it is a collection of 28 buildings constructed during the 19th century and was once the home for retired mariners. The architecture of the buildings at Snug Harbor are in various designs including Greek Revival, Beaux Arts, Victorian, and Italianate. The grounds are extensively landscape and a has a feel of a small town square or college campus.
