Down Under the Manhattan Bridge Overpass (DUMBO) is a neighborhood in Brooklyn, situated between the Manhattan Bridge and Brooklyn Bridge. DUMBO was once a manufacturing district in New York City occupied by factories and warehouses. Cheap property prices in the 1970s began to attract artists and young homesteaders, which eventually transformed DUMBO into a residential neighborhood. Points of interest include Brooklyn Bridge Park, St. Ann's Warehouse, and Jacques Torres' chocolate kitchen.
