Buffalo, New York State - Around Buffalo by Bike

Getting around Buffalo on a bike is gaining popularity but the infrastructure lags compared to more bike friendly cities such as Portland in Oregon. Portland had nearly 600 miles (966 km) while Buffalo had only 19 miles (31 km) of bike lanes in 2013 but plans to add 10 miles of lanes each year. Popular scenic bike routes in Buffalo include the Riverwalk, Scajaquada Creekside Bike Path, and the Greenway Bike Trail. Commuter routes include bike lanes on Linwood, Richmond, Chippewa, Forest, and Elmwood Avenues.
