The Niagara Frontier Transportation Authority operates the NFTA-Metro buses in the Buffalo-Niagara Falls metropolitan area. The main bus stations or hubs in Niagara Falls are the Portage Road Transit Center and Niagara Falls Transportation Center, located about 2 miles (3.2 km) and 0.5 miles (0.8 km) for the Falls respectively. NFTA-Metro buses No. 40, 50, and 55 stop at the two main stations, downtown area of the city, and nearby Niagara Falls State Park where the Niagara Falls is located.
