Albany City Hall is the seat of Albany’s city government and located at Eagle Street between Corning Place and Pine Street. The building comprises of the mayor’s office, city legislature, city and traffic courts, and offices of various city services. The three-story brownstone building was completed in 1883, and its architecture is Romanesque in design. The building features a 202-foot (62 meters) Venetian tower and the top of the tower houses a carillon comprising of 49 bells, which is still played.
