Manhattan, New York City - Central Park

New York City's Central Park is an urban park situated in the borough of Manhattan and occupies 843 acres (341 ha) of the city. Central Park initially opened in 1857 but later expanded and improved in 1873. Today Central Park is the most visited urban park in the United States, receiving around 35 million visitors each year. This landscaped park features man-made lakes and ponds, green open spaces, wooded areas, walking and jogging tracks, ice skating rinks, a wildlife sanctuary and Central Park Zoo.
