Niagara Falls experiences four distinct seasons with precipitation being moderate and consistent throughout the year. The climate of the area is strongly influenced by the moderating effects of the Great Lakes namely Lake Erie and Lake Ontario. Summer is from June to August with average high temperatures ranging from 77°F (25°C) to 81°F (27°C), and occasionally beyond 86°F (30°C). Winter is from December to February featuring moderate snow and average high temperatures from 33°F (1°C) to 37°F (3°C).
