Albany, New York State - Around Albany by Bus

The Capital District Transportation Authority (CDTA) operates the public bus service in Albany as well as the Capital District (includes the counties of Albany, Schenectady, Rensselaer, and Saratoga). Therefore many destinations in Albany and outside the city can be reached by public transport. A one-way bus fare cost $1.50 (regardless of the distance) and an unlimited travel day pass cost $4. Buses operate daily from 6:00 a.m. to 12:00 a.m. departing every 20-30 minutes, but some routes may not run on weekends.
