Coney Island is a neighborhood and beach resort located in the southwestern corner of Brooklyn. It was initially an island but a landfill eventually connected Coney Island with the mainland to form a peninsula. It is a year-round destination but especially popular with New Yorkers during the summer months. Main attractions are its sandy beach and amusement rides but not to forget the New York Aquarium and MCU Park minor league baseball stadium. When it comes to food, there are plenty of options on Coney Island.
